Lightbulb SU Blendabilities vs all the other alcohol markers

Has anyone used the gamut of the alcohol markers? I'm trying to decide if I want to purchase the whole set of SU blendabilities (as they will be available next Tuesday for only $100 instead of $143). I think they may be made by copic but I'm not sure. Are refill inks available? How long do they last on average? And what about their drying out during storage? Any advice would be appreciated!

They are not made by Copic.

They are not refillable, nor are the nibs replaceable.

There have been reports of them drying out and/or running out of ink sooner than expected, but SU has been sending replacements.

They can only be bought in the 3-pack, but some people like this because it makes shading easy. No need to find the lighter/darker shades. All three shades (of each color) work well together.

If you use SU inks/papers, there's no researching to find the compatible color in a non-SU marker.

The sale price is awesome!

Default Blendabilities do not have refills

NO, the don't have refills which is exactly the reason I'm not buying them, even as a demo.

I'd be VERY surprised if they are made by copic.

That said: I've had excellent luck with SU water-based markers. I've had to only top up one with reinker in a dozen years or more.

I am wishful thinking that they will eventually have refills for these.

I have lots of Copics and wouldn't trade them for anything. I've used the SU markers but won't be buying them as they aren't refillable. And the Copics have so many more colors.

I've always used the tombows, and various other cheaper types and I've loved them. I have a few Copics that I like very much. I just got a full set of Spectrums on their way to me. I played with them in September and I really liked them. I got a good deal on them or I don't think that I would have purchased any other markers. I think I will be content with their color selection as well. I can't wait to start playing with them. I also look forward to refilling instead of tossing. That's the thing I hate the most about the others. I hate waste.
