I don't know if such a thing exists but I'm hoping someone might be able to offer some advice. Does anyone know of a source that can assist a person in comparing SU cardstock colors that have been discontinued? What I'm trying to find is something that can guide me to finding suitable / close matches to colors that are no longer available. Trying to compare colors in a catalogue is difficult at best and I don't have a local source to look at current cardstock to gauge from. An example would be: Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy, Rose Romance (yes, I know some of these colors are really old). I have bought packs of cardstock that I've been told were similar but was very disappointed when I got them, as the differences were miles apart (colors not listed above). I do understand that the colors will not be a perfect match, hues will be different as well, but I'm trying to find something closer than night and day if that makes sense. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, I don't know. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So your best bet will be a person for sure - who has owned both SU and other cardstocks. Maybe ask someone to send you a sheet?
Here are my guesses - Gina K's Fresh Asparagus for Always Artichoke.m Gina K Tranquil Teal for NQN. I really can't picture Rose Romance so I'm no help there.
I don't use much colored cardstock anymore or I'd send you the ones that match the Gina inks I suggested. But maybe someone has them and can send you a scrap!
I use Mossy Meadow, a current SU color as a replacement for Always Artichoke. I think they are really close matches. Fionna has always done a comparison with the new in colors to the older colors and I'm sure her information is here somewhere but I'm not techie enough to be of help finding it. I find her to be spot on with colors and I'm sure many others do too.

Diane's lists are in the first few posts of THIS THREAD

I have created listings of all of the SU papers...arranged by color groups and also by hue order according to the Munsell color sphere. I hope that they can be helpful. Use the link in Sabrina's post above.
However, neither of these lists specifically focuses on which old SU colors are close matches to newer colors. You need to look at what is nearby in the lists for what colors to compare. I can say that this year's In Colors are mostly close to perfect matches to previous colors! see post 6 in this thread: New in-color comparison by fionna51 at Splitcoaststampers
A resource I found to be helpful is the color comparisons on "Stamp Your Art Out"--Rachel Tessman compares current and retired SU! colors using actual pieces of cardstock:
Hi. I don't think I can help you in this particular area as I am a novice myself, but if you have the ink for these colors, why not try to make your own cardstock. It may not turn out for an entire sheet, but it should be enough to color the outer edges to make a layer, or perhaps for some die cuts. That's why I started buying the reinkers along with the paper.
I use this website and then usually by Bazzill cardstock when I need to match an existing color. It also gives references to how they determine the matches. I love it.

Dotty I was a Stamped Up Demonstrator for many years. I still have many of the original colors plus some of the limited edition colors that came out. I don't have unopened packages but I do have quite a few of the ones you mentioned. Give me a list of the colors you need and I will see what I can do for you. If you are still in need. I have all three that you mentioned. How much do you need? I am in Arizona where are you? Now you have my curiosity up. LOL. Private message me if you can.
Have you looked in our buy/sell section? Someone is selling older SU colors including the artichoke one....I have seen this before too. Just a thought.
