Default SU Crystal Effects - tips for storing it?

I love using CE on my cards. (Crystal Effects is like a clear liquid glue that dries clear and shiny.) But when it doesn't get used for a while, I have to take the lid off and clean it with warm water before I can use it again. I do keep the lid on. And even poking a needle down there doesn't seem to help.

Is it just me? Does anyone have a good tip for storing it? Would a ziplock help? I live in a dry climate.

Thanks!!

Mine does the same - I just push a needle down in the hole. I keep mine out of the sun, etc and it doesn't matter. I haven't tried storing it upside down as I wasn't sure if it the cap would keep it from running out.
I also tried storing it with the needle in the hole and the needle was glued in ... so much for bright ideas!

I've had the same problem, too. I end up using a needle (which only works sometimes) or washing the cap just like you do.

I use a piercing tool that one of my kiddos used and bent the tip, it is thicker than a needle and easier for me to swirl around the inside of the tip to clear out the gunk. Make sense????

I store mine with a large straight pin stuck in hole and then the little cap on it. I then store it in a zip lock bag. I have been doing this for at least a year and have had no problems. Some say you shouldn't do this because the pin will rust but the one that I use has not.

I store my upside down without any problem. I used to store it right-side-up with a pin in it, but it rusted. :(
