I haven't been able to compare them yet.. I ordered the Nestabilities ones.. I can get the same shape on my Cricut with my Accent Essentials shape too.. I am anxiously awaiting the labels arrival. Pam

I don't know what other kinds of material the Nesties cut...I guess that would be one thing I'd check out. If it's something you'd care about, the Big Shot dies cut more than paper...tin, fabric, etc. I have no idea if the Nesties do also. I think it's just a matter of which abilities are more to your liking. Nesties come in five sizes and emboss as well as cut. I think you just have to weigh the pros and cons of each... Have the Labels One started shipping yet?

I also use my Cricut Accent Essentials. The top note is shape 48shift. It's not exactly the same as the die but it's pretty close. Choose the 3-1/2" setting to get the "pretty darn close" version. What I like about this is that I can make it any size I want. The top note die is limited to the one size.
I have seen the label nesties. They are a square shape rather than a rectangle like the die. But again, you get multiple sizes for about the the same price as the one die
Ladies.....I do think it needs to be noted that the Accent Essentials cartridge is only available when you purchase the Cricut Expression machine. It is not available as a stand alone cartridge. (ok, if someone is selling it on eBay or privately, but that's it)
I have the Sizzix die for the Top Note and like it, but do wish I had the option of cutting it a bit larger. I see it as a card. I think the original intention was of a bag toper or label. I can make a card with it, but too small for an A2 card or envelope.
I don't think the Nestabilities are available yet for the label dies. When they are, I will also get those from the internet. No stores in my area carry them.
True, the Accent Essentials isn't supposed to be available for sale through retailers, but there is one online store that sells it - though I won't mention them because I don't think they are very good. But there are lots available on ebay. That's where I got my cartridge for just $40. It has a lot of other great shapes too besides the top note shape so I thought it was very worth the money.
I agree with Susan (peebsmama) - the Top Note die is more rectangle whereas the Nesties Label die set is square. Having said that, I am going with the Nesties set so I can get more than one size! Don't have a Cricut. Only have the Cuttlebug so couldn't really cut thicker materials with the Top Note die anyway. (I don't think)
There are also a couple of shapes on the Cricut "Storybook" cart that are identical to the top note die as well. So if you can't get the "Accent Essentials" cart, go for "Storybook".
Actually, the "Storybook" cart is just flat out phenominal all on it's own regardless, but that's a whole 'nother thread. ;) (Can you tell I LOVE my "Storybook" cart? LOL)
7kidscollegefund sells the Nestabilitiy sets for $19.99 and they have the Labels set on preorder. It says they'll be shipping at the end of October, but no exact date is given. Here's the link: http://www.7kidscollegefund.com/NEST..._p/sbs4161.htm
I just got the labels one set today that I ordered from Spellbinders. They are awesome! The SU top note is much bigger and a little different shape. There are six dies in the set. Love it!
Can you use SU's top note with the cuttle bug? Man I hope so that would be a bonus, I have limited space, lol, already crowded out in the bedroom/craft room
scrapyland.com has good pricing on the Spellbinders dies and free shipping on $50. cropstop.com has free shipping on all dies and embossers, but their prices are higher. Use coupon code OCTO or OCTO-F and you can get 10% off if order is $30 or more. HTH.
Debra Hogg......YES, you can use the Top Not Sizzix die in the Cuttlebug. Just put the narrower end in first. Just need the cutting pads on top and bottom of die.
surprisingly camera stores carry the nestabilities. I have ordered twice this month, they have a sale through October, are reasonably priced for shipping, and arrived in a week. If you go through ebates you will also get a rebate of probably 3%, if that works I could give you a referral
