Default SU Word Window...is that right?

I saw this quite a bit in some cards so I gave in and bought it. Just got it yesterday and it seems really small to me. Are there two sizes and I got the tiny one by mistake?

Should only be one word window punch. Try punching a piece of paper and place over some single word stamps in the catty. Warm words would be a good one to try the "template" on for size. HTH.

Yes, indeed, it is a very tiny space. There is a new site launching soon called Verve Visual that will have clear stamp sentiments that just fit in the word window punch.

http://www.vervevisual.com/

I'm looking forward to those stamps for my word windows.

That punch would be GREAT for spinner cards... I'll probably crack down and get one just for the spinner cards... they are some of my favorite type of cards! It is pretty small though.

Yes, it is small but you can expand the space by repositioning the punch to make the window longer. We did this at a stamp camp. Play with it on plain paper until you get it lined up to the size you want it.

Oh my gosh I didn't know they would fit. How perfect I saw their stamps and really liked the font and style.

I love the Thoughtful Phrases set...I'm a lucky one who got to play with them in advance. Just wanted to "clear" something up about the stamps LOL. Here's an excerpt from Julee's blog (the owner of Verve)

"Reading all the comments was so much fun! I'm so excited about what's in store at Verve Visual. In answer to a question I've been getting, my stamps will be available as unmounted sheets of red rubber. Although the quality of clear acrylic stamps has improved greatly in the past year or so, I want the best impression EVERY time, so I chose red rubber."

You will love these, I promise!

Thanks for clearing that up, Shannan. I don't know where I got the idea that the stamps were clear. Red rubber is great!

I'm signed up for the email on the Verve site and can't wait until they are open for business. Congrats to you for being part of such an exciting new venture.

There are over 50 stamps in the SU Fall/Winter collection that will work with the word window punch. They posted a slide listing them all, but I don't have a copy of it on me.

The word window punch is the same size as the circles, ovals, tag punches.
The horizontal slot punch is the same size as the corner trimmer, tag corner, ticket corner, 1/2" circle.

The larger one is the one you want. The horizontal slot punch is great too - but not for what you're trying to do.

Default word window punch

I bought a punch at HL that is the old style with the big push button on the top and it is a word window. There are four different sizes of slots, so I thought I'd get it, since I would have a choice of sizes, plus, I used a 40% off coupon to get it. I was just using it last night - it's a great punch! ;)
