I have a die cut for my tags and I was trying to think of how to get this to work for me. I haven't tried it yet, but I was thinking that if I let the die peak out from the press so that the bottom of the die doesn't actually *get pressed* it should work. I use a sizzix.
If you didn't have the tag punch, you could probably get similar results by using the ticket corner punch, I'm not sure that I have the right name, but it's the punch that makes a corner diagonal punch.
I was able to combine the instructions from Brenda (QBee) and pics from Lisa C (nmslmomto3) into one document. I'm posting both word and pdf. Thanks to you both for posting and illustrating this terribly cute project!
I don't even own a tag punch (yet) and I kept reading it, trying to understand. I've always thought the punches were so limiting, as far as size goes, but now I can see how a little ingenuity can make them so much more versatile!

I'm wondering if this method works for everysingle punch? Let's say perhaps the window punch? I should just try that, but don't have time till next week. TIA
I love the visual and glad it was "showcased" on the Weekly Inkling! However, I am having problems when I do this and it gets lopsided when I punch. Could it be because I didn't make the tag narrow enough? I would appreciate any additional tips!
