I just saw these adorable little mailboxes in the gallery. They are from the Target dollar spot. When did you all find them? I called ours and they don't have them. Were they a Christmas item? I HAVE to fin them!

They are in todays items about page 6 if you do 48 per page! I guess my Target got them and they are out or they haven't gotten them yet :( Sheesh I really think my class would love to make these for their valentines!
Hi
Because all of you are so helpful, I called several targets and one close to me had them. I bought 20, 10 white 10 red. They also had these cute tiny terracotta pots that are a kit to plant lavender seeds! I bought those to put in the mailboxes. I also found these magnetic metal frames that come with heart magnets that can be decorated or stamped and have pictures put on them. All for a dollar each! The frames look like an easy thing to do, cover with papers, stamp or whatever then your photos stick on with the magnets. Go find these!
Oh, and if anyone is interested in MAKING a mailbox from card stock, which is a cute and very inexpensive alternative to tin ones, if you're inclined . . .

I've made them before, they're very easy, and they turn out just darling!!!

Local Target had only a few of these left in white and no red. I bought four. Decided to get the metal ones for grandchildren and will do the paper ones for the students in our very small class (10). They paper ones are really cute, also.
Just bought a few at my Target's $1 spot - and there are other fun goodies there to decorate your mailboxes - heart-shaped magnets (6 in a pack) and heart-shaped plastic boxes of red foam alphabets, adhesive-backed foam hearts in different colors and sizes, glitter hearts, set of 4 Valentine stamps (woodmounted), a spectrum-like ink pad with red/pink/silver ink, and lots of other Valentine's Day goodies.
There's also a princess section with lots of gloves, earrings, crowns, ballerina skirts, etc. And there's a Curious George section with lots of cute party favors and "stationary set" for kids.
And the remaining Christmas $1 goodies are 75% off now.
Yes, I cleared out a few Targets in KC on Christmas Eve. Others hadn't been stocked yet.
I'm going to make the red ones into Elmo's (put his face on the flap part that opens - haven't decided what to do on the rest though) and use them as party favors for my son's second b-day and his b-day treats at preschool.
Figure the rest will be neat Valentine's day treats for friends and cute hostess gifts during Sell-a-bration.

Mine was all sold out today, bummer. They had their Valentine's stuff in the dollar spot, but no mailboxes, so I guess they sold out. There are a lot of SCCers in my area, so they probably are hoarding them (:
Keep watching because the Target closest to my house said they get a truck in Monday and I'll bet it is there. They didnt have Valentines items at one store but they did the next store.
Good Luck

I wiped out our local Target! But I just thought of something else to use them for besides Valentines Day......I know several people having babies soon...in 2 days.. so I though about covering them with baby paper and putting "Special Delivery" on it and sticking a little something inside.

If ya live in CT don't bother going to Newington Target! lol I wiped em clean! I alctually left 5 of them and a lady came up behind me and grabbed them!! lol Her fingers are lucky I was done!! lol
If your Target didn't have their Valentine goodies out yet, don't dispair! I went to two Targets and only one had the stuff - the other one didn't have anything so I asked an employee where the $1 V-stuff was. Apparently some aren't stocking their stores until Monday or Tuesday. I also asked if they get replenishments of $1 spot merchandise and he said sometimes they do when it sells really well. So just keep checking (or calling) your Target - they might get more stock after the first of the year.
I picked up 5 red ones tonight at my T. I'm going to decorate and fill them with candy. I like the baby idea using a white one... but I don't know anyone having babies right now... the baby craze at work is over... for now!
I think the "Special Delivery" idea mentioned above by epayne could be used for even birthdays etc... the boxes are big enough to put candy in or a gift card or earrings etc.... I went this morning and picked up a few more white ones just to keep around.

Beautiful job! I can't wait to get started on mine. I need a snow storm or something so my husband can't find things to go out and do. Since I am in Az. I don't think I can count on that!

I saw some today and looks they have quite a bit so maybe they have more at the back of the store that they keep replenishing it with ? There are a lot of cute little items in the dollar spot!
I am assuming, since they were in the Target Dollar Spot, that they are indeed a dollar.
Be careful! Not everything in the dollar spot is 1 dollar. Saw some adorable picture frams in a pack of 3 for $2.50. Still a great deal but some of the stuff is higher priced.

Aaaah. Thanks for the heads' up. Target is an hour away from me; I rarely get to go, and when I do, they never have the cool stuff in that area that eveybody else finds. It must get cleaned out looooong before I get off the Rock to go check it out. LOL! I've gotten so I don't even waste my time checking it out any more when I do finally get over there.
