Default For those that own the classic scalloped oval and the petite scallop oval nesties...

I have been purchasing my nesites one set each month through Cut At Home. So far I have the classic oval set, the circle set, the rectangle set and the long rectangle set.

I was looking on their site yesterday deciding what my January purchase would be and saw the petite scalloped ovals. The description said "This shape is very different from the Classic Oval shape". That's it. No further description to say why it's different. If you own both the classic and petite scalloped ovals, can you tell me how they are different and if you get much use out of the petites? TIA

They are quite different. The Petite Ovals are more of an elongated oval, while the Classic Ovals are more rounded. If you look on their website and compare the two, I think you can see what I mean. They both have their uses, but I had only the Classic for about a year. When I collected all the other shapes, I then got the Petite Ovals.

I just purchased my first set of nesties (classic scalloped circles/standard circles) and did a bunch of research on the classic versus petite.

The petite scalloped ovals are narrower than the classic. They are a bit more appropriate for sentiments - similar to the SU oval punches I think. I found a store that actually lists the dimensions of each oval in the pack so that you can compare them. Here are the links to the large set of the classic and petite ovals:

Good luck!

the Classics are 'fatter'.. more room in the center for a larger/taller image.

I just have the petites for now and I am finding it hard sometimes to fit larger images .

I have both sets of ovals, and actually prefer the Petite.

I too prefer the petite scallop - both for cards and for sb pages. I've used them a lot more than I have the classic scallop.

I, too, have both sets and use the Petite set more. I like the smaller scallop for most of my cards. That is just my point of view. Joan
