I have only made a couple of them. I made one a busniess card holder and one that I filled with Christmas tags for a demo friend. I got mine at a LSS. I like the ones with the handles so I can put on ribbon or tags. They are so easy and so much fun to make!

They are on sale right now at Joann.com for $1.39 each.

There is an article on these tins in the August/September 2007 issue of Scrap & Stamp Arts. Pages 35-37.

I made one for my grandson to keep his cards in. He loves to play cards with me and he loves western so this is what I came up with. A deck of cards fits perfectly inside the bandaid tins. MomD

I made one for my daughter and she loved it, (she's 30). They were struggling with bills, everything falling apart, you know we've all been there. I decorated one up and put the "Daughter Survival Kit" in there with the meaning for all the little things you put in for the particular kit. It's sitting in her living room, LOL!!!

I made 2 for my 3 yr old grandson. One holds his set of small dominoes, and the other we decorated with pirate stickers, and he keeps all the tiny pieces that go with his Playmobile pirate set. He has a little sister, so all small pieces have to go up on a shelf in his room so she can't get to them.

I made microscope slide christmas ornaments last year, and I
put the ornaments in decorated band-aid tins and gave them
out as gifts.

Oh My Gosh, that is what I am planning on doing this year for Christmas. What an awsome idea to put them in the bandaid tins. Perfect for storing the little glass ornaments. Do you have any pictures? I would love to see them :p

I haven't seen this suggestion yet: a Bible promise box. I made one for my SIL out of a Hubba Bubba Ouch! gum tin (I have a 3-year-old, what can I say?), and it turned out beautifully. It's the perfect size to fit those promise cards, or you can make your own promise cards (like I did). HTH!

Ooh, I like this idea! I've been organizing all my stamps, and was thinking that I wanted to do something with all my verses. I was thinking a little book, but I think I'm going to have to do a tin instead! Thanks so much for sharing this idea.

Not to hijack the thread, but what's a Bible Promise Box? Sounds interesting. Could you tell me more please? Thanks Sophia!

Wow- thanks for the fantastic idea. I'm on a Walk to Emmaus team this fall, and we all get lots of these little cards. I think I'm going to make a bunch up for the team for the first teaming, then for candidates, too! Yeah, my plan is in place!!
