Default WARNING ABOUT BAD PRODUCT FROM SIZZIX.COM

Just thought I would warn everyone about buying from www.Sizzix.com
They are selling items at hugh discounts on their website but there is a reason for the low prices. The order I received from them has defective product in it. I sent them two emails which they never replied to, so today I finally called them.
GET THIS - they told me to return the defective product AT MY EXPENSE!
I asked them if they will reimburse me when they get the dies back and see they are defective. She said no, they won't do that so I am stuck paying $8.00 for shipping to sent them back their DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS.
Anyway, just thought I would pass this on in case you were thinking of ordering anything from them.

Actually that is typical of all companies. You have to return defective merchandise at your own cost. I have purchased from sizzix and have never had a problem.

I am so sorry for that crap! (hope that doesn't offend, but I call it what it is). I don't think that is why they are selling them at a discount, though. I live in UT, home of Provo Craft. All the store fronts for PC have selected dies at half off right now. I think they are about to discontinue a whole bunch of them.

But, man that stinks about the returning them at your expense. Costs more to return something than to buy it. You could priority mail it in a flat rate for less, do it online and you'll have delivery confirmation included. Uggh. Sorry!

My son had to return a Creative MP3 player that was still under warranty. It cost $25.00 just for them to look at it. Another $20.00 to send it Purolator (which they said we had to do). Then he had to pay another $9.00 when it was returned to Canada from the US because our government wanted their share in taxes. $54.00. Unbelievable. When my daughter had to return her Apple ipod they paid all the shipping. Apple it will be from now on. Some companies are good to their customers, others....not so much!

No, not all companies are like that. LL Bean is the best. I recently ordered some towels with matching washcloths and one set didn't match at all. They sent out a new set, hand picked for a good color match with a postage paid return label for me to send the other one back. Great service!

Sorry for your bad experience. I have ordered recently from Sizzix and have had a good experience.

The reason why things are marked dow is that they are discontinuing some products and they are revealing a new logo so everything with the old logo has to go. I took advantage of an awesome deal they had. A sidekick starter kit and 5 border dies for $45. Unreal. The border dies run $20 each. I didn't need the starter kit because I have a big shot but I couldn't pass up the deal.

Is the problem that th die isn't cutting smoothly? If it is you can cut some alum. foil a few times and it will sharpen it right back up. Good luck.

Had the same thing happen with a Spellbinders die I just bought. The company didn't have a problem taking their bad die back but I had to pay the shipping. I think this is standard for most companies. In my case I was lucky. It only cost under $3, counting buying the padded envelope, to mail back. Still stinks that a die I paid so much for would be defective.

I am sorry to hear about your expierience. That is awful. I have ordered from sizzix.com several times and have never had a problem yet. And when my BigShot plate broke, they send me new ones, no questions asked.

I am sorry that you are having a a bad experience with the products that you purchased from Sizzix. I did order a few things because I got a 60% discount last month. I did not have any problems with my order. It does not seem right that a company would charge you to send back a defective product but I guess some comapnies are like that.

Thanks for the heads up though.

As a business owner, I have found this not to be the case at all. Most companies will either issue a call tag for the merchandise or reimburse for the amount it cost you to ship to them.

Also, if you paid for the merchandise using your credit card you may be able to dispute it with your credit card company under the Fair Credit Billing act. EVERY TIME you dispute a charge with a credit card company, the merchant is usually hit with a chargeback fee regardless of the outcome which is usually enough for the company to do what is right
