how about some margaritta mixes (green/red), colored sugars/salts for the rims, some cute little drink umbrellas, straws, picks, little cocktail napkins rolled up with a recipe for the perfect mixed drink. I think of tropical fruity drinks when I think of Hawaii. You could keep them in the box, decorate it with the blooms and flower diecuts etc, use an inexpensive floral lei for the handle....good luck...Let us know what you decide to use...

What about filling each bottle with a Luau theme and give recipes in one, decorations in another, Hawaiian fortunes in another, etc. I would love to have a Hawaiian theme party here in sub-zero MN.
jimandnancy4, when you post to a thread you have an option at the very bottom (called Notification Type) to be sent an email each time someone posts the thread. That is called subscribing.
It was pretty easy actually. I just put about 1/8 of a cup of Dawn in the jar and filled it up with water. Then I left it there for an entire day (24 hours), rinsed it out, and then washed it with more Dawn and water (using a paper towel - didn't want to have to wash PB out of my dish rag!). I think the trick is the Dawn - fights grease, fights PB!
HTH!
Ditto that, Sally! I've been saving Jif jars (my coworkers make fun of me) to decorate and fill with goodies, but the Frap bottles never occured to me.
That's it! I'm hoarding all glass containers with lids from now on!
I hoard glass containers of all kinds now -- my newest fav is the Marie's salad dressing jars. They have a black lid that's easy to cover and the label is plastic shrink-wrapped on, so it comes off cleanly. They are a nice size to fill also. Not that I've done any yet, but that could happen at any minute ;-)

How about little curled up pieces of paper with little wisdoms or jokes on them? Sort of like Fortune cookie slips. It would be some work, to find nice wisdoms or quotes, but they could be typed out on the computer and cut apart. Maybe on colorful slips of paper so it would look nice. Maybe "A thought for the day."
Has anyone used a FUZE bottle for these? They are taller and larger and would love ideas of things to put inside that wouldn't break the bank filling them.
Love the ideas so far!

I haven't tried using a FUZE bottle, but you could get jelly beans pretty cheap at WalMart. You could use white rub-ons and some pretty ribbons and tag to decorate it. I would also paint the lid.

I'm new to this idea.
So let me ask you a question.
Would my empty Prima flower Bottles be a good size for this project?
Also, if you have a grand openeing of a Rite Aid Store near you they have the Starbucks Latte bottles 4/$2.00 I saw it today.
I'll buy them and find someone to drink them for me :}
TY for your help IA~kim

LOL! That's what I did; I bought the 4-pack and got others to drink them for me!! I like the shape of the Starbucks bottles best, but you can use any glass or even plastic bottle with a smooth surface and a lid. I wish I had a Rite Aid store near here! We're just excited about getting a WalMart on March 5th!!!! (Small town.)

I got my bottles done, i am going to post them in my gallery tonight so you all can see!!! They turned out a hit. my pics don't include what i put in the bottles, but i ended up putting in hazelnut coffee mix, chai tea mix, starbucks coffee and irish cream creamer....
I got this from Caribo Coffee since Starbucks thinks I am nuts! Is this what you are altering????
You can alter that carrier as well. We are filling the bottles that come in those 4 paks with candies, bath salts, cocoa mixes, tea, coffee, etc. and decorating the bottles too!

So here is an idea that i had while reading what you all have posted...what about putting some whole coffee beans in one and ground beans in another and some flavored creamers in another and maybe a flavored sugar of sorts? like vanilla sugar?? Keeping it coffee friendly...
I did this for friends at Christmas, I put different flavored coffee beans in the bottles, (French Vanilla, Hazelnut, etc). They were a BIG hit.

I've seen some Fuze bottles in the gallery. Search "fuze" and some should pop up.
oh- duh! I forgot - the reason I was posting here to begin with- Target sells sour cherry gels that look awesome in the frap bottles. They are round red candies- I get them in the candy isle, and thay come in a bag. I used them for Christmas and Valentine's Day.
I am so glad I found this thread...I started drinking these buggers, but I have been buying singles...I am missing out on the whole carrier thing...Now I have to drink more....I have also recruited my family and friends...I may post on the freecycle thread to see if I can get more bottles...desperation breeds insanity...maybe its just the coffee talking...
