Default What is this stuff?

Embarrassingly enough, I found this roll of sticky stuff today, and I don't know what it is! My only excuse is that I haven't stamped for about a year....but obviously is wasn't something I needed desperately when I bought it, or I might remember what in the world I used it for!

Any clues? It's very thin, waxy on one side, and has sticky stuff (like mono adhesive) on the other. I thought maybe it worked like red liner tape, so I tried putting a strip on a piece of paper and rubbing it to transfer the sticky stuff, but that didn't work so well.

What did I buy?!!

Leah,

Have you tried to put the sticky side down on a piece of paper and then peel off the waxy liner to leave a layer of sticky on top? It does sound like red liner tape.

Given that it says "Xyron" on the inside of the roll, is it possibly a refill for the sticker maker machine?

How wide is that roll? From your photo, the width and the diameter don't look like they would work in any of the Xyron machines. Could it be one of the tapes shown at the link below? (Scroll down it for permanent scrapbook tape, repositionable scrapbook tape, and mounting tape.)

Yea, I tried that but it didn't work great. Maybe I bought some cheap adhesive back when I was a new stamper and tucked it away for a reason

Nope, too small, and don't have a sticker machine, but thanks!

Yea, that's probably what it is. It just doesn't stick as well as what I usually use, so I was wondering if maybe there was something I was missing. Gosh, I can't remember buying it...maybe it came in a package of something else I bought and I just put it aside! Thx for the help
