Default Where to buy card envelopes

Where is the best place to buy card envelopes in various sizes? I've tried my local walmart and hallmark they are either to big or to small. I'm looking for a regular size envelope for cards and some odd sizes to. Appreicate the help.

Hi Chrissy!

I can usually find invitation envelopes (they are just slightly larger than 4.25 x 5.50) in office supply stores. Sometimes I can find them at Walmart. It's been awhile so I have no idea what the price is but I think the box has 100 envelopes. I personally like the brightness of the white envelopes from Office Max.

I have purchased some square envelopes (usually vellum) at Michaeal's or A.C. Moore (either on sale or with a coupon). I try to have 10-20 each to accommodate 5x5 and 6x6 square cards.

And, esp. when the card will be given in person, I use the clear envelopes sold by SU.

I know Marco's Papers has wonderful service and decent prices. They will have a booth at the Heirlloom Show in Rhinebeck (Sept. 20-21, 200.

Hopefully others will chime in with vendors for bulk buys and odd sizes. This info is always good to know!

ETA: I also have a Coluzzle template for envelopes but haven't used it yet - I needed the scoring tool (which I just git from my BFF/TAC demo).

I've used them a few times. Great shipping time. The quality of their 70lb. envelopes is wonderful. You can also order samples from them.

You might also try Xpedx. They are all over the country. Look in the telephone book of your closest big city, or online. They have a fabulous selection of sizes and qualities. You can buy 250 starting at around $16.00, most are in the $20-$25 range.

I also use clearbags.com. They have a wonderful invitation size white or ivory envelope that they sell in boxes of 250. They are $37.00 per 1000 including the shipping. I usually order these 2000 at a time for including with cards to the soldiers.
Blessings.

Ditto on clearbags.com. And if you are unsure about what to buy, you can get samples of what you are interested in before you buy, which is nice.

I buy mine at Staples, in a ginormous box of 250, it works out to 11cents per envelope! the box is a purplish colour.

I have to say hands down clearbags.com I tried my local office stores today and they want $12 for 100 envelopes. Forget that! I looked at Staples and Office Max!

I buy mine at Kelly Paper. Don't know if they are everywhere or not - it costs about $40 a box - but I get 250 very high quality E2 envelopes. I can get a better deal when they are on sale (and I am waiting patiently for a sale!)

I buy my envelopes at Xpedex. We're heading to Chicago next weekend and I plan to stop at the store in Schaumberg. We have an Xpedex in St. Louis, but it isn't as large and the selection isn't as great.
