from SU! when you can get it $20 cheaper and not have to pay shipping at your local craft store or even on ebay? Ebay is sans tax and shipping!
Is it different?

And even cheaper than that with a 40% off coupon which is available about every week?
I have no idea! Unless you rack up a bunch of Hostess Rewards and you can get it for free?
This one doesn't have the MPP, but I got my BS at Costco in a different package a while back--it's the older "Big Kick" and I got the MPP, but fewer embossing folders.
Thanks!
What's the difference between the bigshot and bigkick?
There was a name change when Ellison and Sizzix parted ways. Same machine, different colors and names.
Just checked the circulars, both ACMoore and Michaels have 50% coupons for Sunday and Monday, and neither excludes Sizzix products. Each also has an additional 40% coupon for Tues-Sat.
1. Not everyone has a craft store near them that carries the big shot.
2. Not every store takes the 40% off coupon for the big shot.
3. If you get the big shot package (which comes with exclusive SU dies) it qualifies you as a show, and you get free stamp sets and so much in free product.
4. You have a demo that can help you figure out the big shot, and new and exciting ways to use it.
Etc.
Unless the coupon clearly states that it cannot be used on Sizzix, it can be used on the Big Kick or if they have it, the Big Shot. This is what my local Michaels store manager told me.
I am a hobby demo so I buy what's cheapest for me. I also have access to coupons so the store is best for me. I have a CB and I barely use it and I only use it for the embossing template. The die cut I use my Klik-n-Kut. I can make whatever I want with it and cut that basal wood stuff (although I will probably never do that). I love it.
I thought it came out to be about the same price. I got a free stamp set, free product, and I ordered the kit so I got all of the cool stuff that goes with it like the dies, plates, etc... The one at Costco I looked at, but it came with a bunch of stuff that wasn't useful. I knew I wouldn't use the paper etc... I have a Cuttlebug too and use the Big Shot far more.
I think it really depends upon what you are looking for. If you want the Big Shot machine and like the exclusive SU dies that come with the Big Shot Bundle, then even with the coupon for the machine alone, when you calculate, the cost of the machine at Michaels, etc., gas t/f the store, the costs of the exclusive SU dies, the value of the hostess benefits you receive with the purchase, the support you receive from your SU demonstrator, and the convenience of having your order deliver to your door, to price difference becomes minimal.
That being said, if the only thing you are buying is the machine and you are not interested in the exclusive dies that come with the SU bundle, then you probably should shop at Michaels.
I don't know of any major stores that will not accept a coupon for the BK or any of the dies/die sets. It's the same machine as the BigShot. Some of the SU exclusive dies do look very nice, though.
No craft store locally carries the Big Shot where I live. I got a die with it and got a hostess set and $15 in free merchandise. I don't like the shape of the Big Kick as the handle on top is too small to get a good grip when cranking through a tight sandwich, it is harder to carry, and looks dirty faster. If I could have gotten the clack and pink one with a coupon I might have, but it wasn't an option here.
