would you be interested in a scalloped Rectangle Punch?
So, I do a little design work for Marvy Uchida, ya know...those giant scalloped oval punch makers! Well...I think they should make a rectangle one too. I think this would be an awesomely cool punch.
Now...I have ZERO pull ... I am not getting any hopes up  just reeeeeealy wanting one!
any thoughts on this if it were a possibility? Do you think it would be as popular as the oval?

I don't get the excitement over the scalloped stuff when you can make all your own with scallop scissors. I have them in 3 sizes and make all kinds of shapes with them.

I have the scallop scissors but can never get the shapes to end right. Meaning the last scallop always has a funky kink to it. The other advantage to the punches (for me) is speed - especially if you are mass producing cards, which I seem to be in the business of doing lately.
As for the rectangle, I think I'd have to see it first. I'm not sure what I'd use it for. I ony have the circles... I can't seem to get into the squares and ovals either, but that could change!
I was reading on Debbie Olson'ss blog that you can make a rectangle using your square scalloped punch out two squares and fit them together, theyll over lap a bit, but its hardly noticeable.
Here's the link so you can check out the awesome card she made ;)
I own all of the other Scallop punches from Marvy so yes, I certainly would buy one that if they made one that is rectangle. I have seen the advertisements with your work for Marvy in a few magazines Lisa. Very nice!
Lisa, I think it would be great. I know that there are ways to do it with scissors, and also a way with the square punch. However, Being the the immediate gratification girl that I am sometimes, I would probably love the rectangle.
Thanks for asking!! Pass along that there are lazy girls like me who would love 'em!!

I just "found" my Scalloped rectangle punch in my scraproom over Christmas! I bought this the very first year I started scrapbooking. I guess it is now offical...I am addicted!
Yes, I would love the giga and mega rectangle scallop punches! I love the hand held punches since I have problems with my arm and hand (lymphedema) and can't always line up the punches that are not hand held. Alos, I like to stamp and then line up the image to punch. I would buy all scallop punches from Marvy Uchida which are hand held!
YES! I have all of the others and keep reaching for the rectangle one and it's not there. I don't always have the time/patience to make one from other punches.

I have one in my hand I bought it in Edmonton, Alberta back in Nov. It is a Marvy Uchida - wrote right on it. Its blue in color and the measurements are 2 5/8 x 1 5/8". (3" Giga). And its a scalloped, rectangle punch. I picked it up either at Western Educational or Urban Scrapbookers.
Yes. In fact, I would love a set of stacking scallop punches. Years ago Family Treasures made sets of punches that stacked perfectly and I didn't buy them. So if MU made punches that stack perfectly (like a straight edge oval to fit inside the scalloped oval; scalloped rectangle with both a scalloped and straight edge rectangle to fit together), there would be a demand. EK did some smaller circles and squares and there are some postage stamps stackers, all under two inches. If MU made the scalloped to match the straight edge, you could see many Amuse followers using the punches. The rectangle scallop would be great for the Amuse small borders, like the Halloween parade. And for SU followers, the small messages would have a great easy frame. So, yes, but I'd like more than one size and the sizes should mat perfectly.

I have an old Marvy catalog that they sent me with an order and it shows that they made the scallop rectangle in the old button punch style but there isn't one in the clever level style.
YES - Lisa, I would buy one (or two) if they added them to the clever lever line. Thanks!
Also - I was searching in October for a nice size Pumpkin punch (maybe 1" to 1.5" in size) and wasn't able to find one. So if ya ever hear mention of one of those - I'd love it too!

I think thats the old button style, am I right? If so...I can't use those...a lot of peeps have trouble and thats why they are fazing away from those. But, the clever lever is a snap! thats what I wanna beg for! I have zero upper body strength...so I need all the help I can get.
and I LOVE Debbie's idea...SHE IS AMAZING! but I wanna have it as a focal point and it doesn't work for that.
So it's lookin' like I'm not the only one who would jump on this!
I would! I've been looking online for someplace to buy the scalloped punches in different sizes so that I can layer on one another. Any ideas??? Please pm me! Thanks!

You mean there isn't one? *gasp* LOL ;-)
All joking aside, I don't know how popular it would be. But it would be popular with me. I'd definitely be interested in purchasing one.
Matter of fact, earlier this week I made a note to self to do a google search for a rectangle scallop punch. But now I will wait until yours gets released. :-)
I needed it today! I was making a little caterpillar and he would have been perfect on a rectangle scallop! I also realized I ***need*** bigger scallops in all sizes than the giga.... I need a super giga!!!!
