Question You know those BYGEL rod's for punch storage?

I can't pay $23.00 for IKEA to ship me 4 rods that cost $1.99/each, so I was wondering if they are any place else? OR if you can tell me the depth when mounted on the wall and maybe I can look for something similar. THANKS! :p

i would pay the shipping, you have 31.00 for 4 rods which you know will work for punches. vs 4.99 per rod at walmart which you dont know if they will work the gas to drive there and the extras you will buy because your there. and your time. hmmm worth it to me to have um delivered. and cheaper to

I spent a lot of money to get a chair from there because they didn't have it in the store (I live by one) and I wanted it bc I knew it was good. Sometimes it's worth it to stick with something that works. If you go somewhere where they are any more expensive, you will be spending that much anyways.

I can get them and ship them to you if you want, by the way. I don't know how much cheaper it will be!

I was in the same boat. I opted to purchase silver cafe rods from target for $4.99 a piece. The work just fine. I like the look of the ikea rods a little better but I just could not pay that for shipping when I am in Target all the time.

I use the same thing. I got mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond and I think they were around $2 each. They work fine.

I bought a closeout rod at Pier One -- I think it's a 1 1/2 inch clearance. Works like a charm.....

I also bought mine at Linen N Things for around 2.50. I bought the ones that extend 2 inches from the wall as I wanted it for my large punches. The 1 inch is perfect for smaller ones. I opted for these over IKEA as you are not limited to the two sizes they offer. With the rods from LNT, you can extend to the length you want and they are very sturdy. Good luck

My friend bought white ones (rods like Ikea) at Kmart. So check there.

I just found this thread and I love the idea. Do you just hook the curtain rod on the wall like you normally do, but, just hang your punches instead? I can see my dh's list growing for the weekend, lol.

Sounds like there are decent options out there for you if you chose to go another route. I have the IKEA ones and love them. I have one about 45 mins from my house. If you are dying for these, I can pick some up next time I'm there. I don't know what my shipping would be and if it would be any cheaper. But let me know if you need any help!

What a great idea--some of my punches don't have that handle overhang though. The are those pink squares with the circle in the middle that you just push down. Do you think that those fit on there too?
