This was pure coincidence. I was thinking of a music challenge when I decided to take a break to see what Sally�s sketch was today�and she happened to use the phrase I was thinking (Oldies but Goodies) in her challenge...so a combo effort is born ~ thank you Sally!
Certain music and summer go hand in hand. I was specifically thinking that no matter when I hear a Jimmy Buffet song, I automatically associate it with great times and dancing at the beach with friends!
Challenge, use Sally�s Sketch Challenge (//www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=439627), to create a page using your Favorite Summer Song Title as inspiration. Be sure to let us know your song, the artist, and how that song inspires your new layout when you post. Don't forget...use both keywords and to post here and in Sally's thread.

Sorry to say, due to time constraints, I do not have a personal sample. However, Margaritaville is what keeps playing in my head...I did a gallery search and had a 'hit': Jimmy Buffetts Margaritaville by KelliJo at Splitcoaststampers :cool: How fun is that!

It's been a long day in front of a computer screen and my eyes are bleary and I now have a headache (don't know how IT's do it!). I'm going to get off-line for a while. PM me if there is something I should know :-) Lela is suppose to post the 9 PM EST challenge but I'll pop on in case she can't make it. After that, I'll post my 10PM/10AM challenge. It's meant for tomorrow morning but I can't get on so I'm posting tonight...consider it a bonus ;-)

Cool challenge.... going to try and play along some tonite. First thing that came to my mind was BEACH BOYS songs.. they just shout SUMMER to me.... of course I am over 50 so "oldies but goodies" were HITS when I was young...lol..

Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.
There were sooooooooo many songs running through my head. Summer Love was one that kept coming back into my head so I went with that. I was married just a few days before the official start of summer here and it was one of the hottest days in Ballarat, where we were married, that they'd had in a long time. I figured, that made it close enough to fit in the category of "summer" and using the sketch layout and Summer Love as my theme, I decided to scrap some of my wedding photos (I still have sooooooooooo many more pages to do!!!!!).
I so enjoy scrapping music or lyrics, so this was so fun!!! I chose the song Summertime- it is by Will Smith (oh so dreamy) There is also a song from Porgy and Bess, called summertime- which is what I am singing now lol I will post a link in a bit
