Ok - I am pretty much done with my LO's for Feb, except I have to type up and print out some journaling, which is always my LEAST favorite part to do. ugh. That is why I have several incomplete LO's laying around ;) I was GOING to go watch some TV, but I figure that I only have an hour left to get them counted for the month......so I have to FORCE my little booty to stay in its chair and not run away screaming to the comfy couch ;)

I feel like I always use the same embellishments - I'm in a 'bellie rut!
We all should do an embellie trade. You know - send ones that we have a few of left and just refuse to use b/c we use them on EVERY page and then we create a page with what we get in the mail. I don't know, maybe you guys have already done that before?

That would be a fun one! Four 'bellies - one for each Thursday challenge? Hmmm... I wonder what fun Lela will come up with

I did end up going...found a super cute new EK border punch called Swiss Cheese and some shaped papers from a line called Friendly Forest. I fell in LOVE with that line and will have to go back for more.
The two M's closest to my house closed, so I haven't been in one in a while. This one is close to work but in the opposite direction from home. Good for my wallet I guess...lol.

feb09vsbna- Warm Up
I am SO ready for Spring. Not sure how it's been where you all live but here it's been LOTS of Snow, Ice and very wintery cold temperatures. I'm SO ready for it to "WARM UP".
Speaking of "WARM UP I thought we could get warmed up by getting started by playing with one of the great sketches I found here on SCS. Take your pick or do all 3....up to you
Be sure to use KEYWord: feb09vsbna for uploading, also don't forget to use the codes that go with the sketch you select so your page shows in both galleries
Let's WARM UP with one of these fun sketchs as we get started
feb09vsbnb - Think Spring!
It looks like I'm not the only one wishing for SPRING! Peggy gave us a great challenge on Wednesday & since it appears that only a few of us have had a chance to complete the page so far, I thought it would be fun to include in minivsbn!
SBVC65...ready for spring?...2.25.09.
I am so ready for spring....spring rains, flowers, green grass, shed the flannel jammies and go for walks without the sweaters and coats. Your challenge today is to get your inspiration from the word "spring". You can use the word in your layout, it can be used as a verb, even the word spring can remind you of certain colors, things you do or places you go in the spring.
Be sure to use KEYWord: feb09vsbnb for uploading, also don't forget to use the code: SBVC65 so your page shows in both galleries
feb09vsbnc Thinking of GREEN
Here comes March and with it "St Patricks Day". ST Patricks day is all about GREEN ... unless of course you want a pinch. Green is such a nice color at that time of year to think about because it's just beginning to peek out everywhere. It's time to add GREEN to your next page....You can do a monochromatic ALL GREEN Page or just a hint of green somewhere but either way get lucky and finish a page with GREEN!
Be sure to use Keyword: feb09vsbnc for upload
feb09vsbnd-- Spring Break!
I have to laugh because my youngest DS has a countdown on his whiteboard to SPRING BREAK! Do you remember the feelings of Spring Break and having time off after the winter? Well now it's time to "cut loose" and come up with a "Spring Break" page! Woohoo! Go crazy, try a new technique, do something you don't often do....whatever! Let's see your version of a "Spring Break" page. Be sure in your description, tell us why your page reminds you of "Spring Break". It can be anything -- party pages, a walk in the park, vacation, laying around...whatever, get out those picts that remind you of the Spring Break feelings!
Be sure to use keyword: feb09vsbnd for upload!
feb09vsbne -- Oh Yeah, SPRING The best part of Spring is the "freshness" in the air, cool mornings and warm afternoons and the sun shining again. Ahhh Spring! Let's do a page that just feels like SPRING!
S -- scrap or scraps -- use a scrap or scraps of something
P -- pretty paper -- get out those pretty dsp and let's see 'em
R -- Ribbon -- oh yes, time to add some color or texture w/ ribbon
I -- Ink -- stamp some images or ink the edges, just get out those inks
N -- New -- this can be anything -- even new technique
G -- Greens, Golds, Golden Yellow, Great Oranges --- get it?
Be sure to use keyword: feb09vsbne for upload!
feb09vsbnf -- The Best Part -- Flowers! My favorite flowers are tulips and crocus are close 2nd! They are both LOVELY Spring Flowers. I love Spring flowers! It's so nice to see them after a cold winter. So it's time to "spring out the flowers"! Whether you add just one or 2 for a "hint of Spring" or lots for an all out bouquet, let's put color on our pages with Spring flowers! Try to add a couple different kinds (diecut, punched, primas, acrylic, stamped).
Be sure to use keyword: feb09vsbnf for upload
Just checking back in to see the rest of the challenges. I got hung up on my first page and didn't check back in. These are all wonderful Lela! You did a great job and I totally plan to create a page for all of them to kickstart my March scrapbooking.
Wow--how did I miss this? Is it a regular thing to have a mini VSBN? Since I only mised it by one day, I'm going to get started NOW on the chalenges, I only read through one before I thought--Eep! What have I been missing! So I will check back in a few and thanks for the fun!
Just had to pop in and say that I was lurking for a bit on Sat....I was soooo happy to have found a mini!!! I took on the first challenge...but it totally morphed into something else.....so it's not like I followed the sketch at all.
Just wanted to say thanks for being there again when I needed to get some scrappin' done!!
