I am probably the only person on the planet who is not a Greys Anatomy fan. So its probably a bit unusual that Im using that song for my challenge! (And its not that I dont like the show its just that I never got into it.) That show had some great music in its early seasons, and this song is no exception. Some of my favorite songs from this decade will probably be from the GA soundtrack!
In real life, my job is to write technical documentation. Instructions. So the idea of how to do something has a different level of meaning for me. I often say that scrapbooking and photography are my creative outlets that provide balance to my working hours.
However, tonight the two worlds are going to come crashing together. My challenge to you tonight inspired by the song How to Save a Life is to create a scrapbook layout that is based upon giving steps or instructions on how to do something. Essentially what I am looking for is a scrapbook layout created around a list of steps to tell the story around a series of photos. It can be instructions on really how to do something or the telling of an everyday story in the format of step 1, step 2, etc.
Your layout should contain at least 3 photos to tell the story. There should also be at least two steps to the story. Colors, embellishments, and layout/design are completely up to you!
1. ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Friday January 22nd.
2. You have a total of 2 hours to complete the challenge (unless otherwise stated).
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, JAN10VSBNd, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen
It's hard to read the sample layout in the gallery, so here's what it looks like at a bigger size.
I just love how you framed out each step and wrote on it...great page! Thanks for sharing the bigger version...my eyes can't always see those small details and they're usually the most interesting :-)!
What a cool idea... I wonder what I was going to do lol step by step lol Oh I remember now.... *blushes* I can't share the funniest part of this challenge lmao
I just wanted to add... just because my sample layout shows steps on how to do something, your layout doesn't need to be like that... the only thing is that the story you tell be told with steps... i hope that makes sense. You don't have to do a layout explaining how to do something.... you could do a layout about an everyday event, you just have to tell it in steps.
I was going to do a second sample to show this better, but I ran out of steam.
Loved both pages so far. Hope to get mine uploaded in the morning. Hubby came in and said, "What about the Dumpster?" lol You'll understand when i get it done
I've got the perfect pics to do this challenge...just gotta weed them down to a couple instead of about the 20 that were taken. And I think I want to do a DPS...one page of the same thing for each grandchild's first birthday! It'll be fun to compare them side by side so I'll need to see if I can find a 24x12 digi template that will work for this one! Will probably get to post it tomorrow sometime though! Night!

PO run done, laundry going, I'm ready to scrap! I scanned some older photos and printed them out for this challenge. I have the best idea. Off to scrap it!
Here is my page for this challenge. This was really fun. As soon as I read the challenge, I thought of this idea. I just love it when that happens AND it actually comes together!
GREAT Challenge Denise! If I get time, I'll have to do another page. I was uploading and realized the directions said 3 photos...oops, I only have 1

Don't feel bad, I couldn't even tell you what night Grey's was on! I love this song though, it's so bittersweet.
Here is My Layout, I did How to have a Perfect Saturday, talking about the occasional road trip Hubs and I take to the Cities. A girl's gotta have her Chipotle and Archivers fix!
Happy Scrapping!
