JANVSBNE - Curling
Good morning everyone!
Our next sport is Curling.
Curling originated in the 16th century in Scotland, where games were played during winter on frozen ponds, lochs and marshes. The earliest-known curling stones came from the Scottish regions of Stirling and Perth and date back to 1511. The earliest reports of curling came from Paisley Abbey, Scotland, in 1541. In the early days of the sport, stones were taken from river bottoms. In the 1600s, stones with handles were introduced, allowing a delivery style similar to what is used today.
First added as a demonstrations olympic sport in 1924 curling is a game based on skill and strategy. The goal is to have as many of your colored rocks as close to the button (center dot of the rings) and to keep your opponent from having any.
Your challenge is to do a page (or pages) using circles, and follow the sketch included.
BONUS points if you use buttons, and EXTRA BONUS POINTS if you make your own buttons with paper!!
Have fun, and we will see you at the other end of the sheet (thats what they call the ice ;) )
I hope you all enjoy this challenge. I know I have not been around lots the past few months, but I am here now
If you have any questions about the challenge, please ask.

oh, fun!
My parents curl! I am from Canada and I grew up watching my parents play this sport - many winters us kids would be in an upstairs "lodge-type room" that overlooked the curling rink - such fond memories!
This will be a fun page to do!

I used a 5x7 on the first page and two 4x6's for the second page (trimmed off a bit)
can't wait to see what you come up with.
