I will partake in at least one of the challenges tonight! Don't know if I can do both, but maybe I can make up the second challenge tomorrow. And I won't be able to participate Friday night due to a prior commitment. But hope to partake the rest of the weekend. I'm excited also! I got a couple of new stamp sets from Close to My Heart and I can't wait to use them!
I am assuming that means the mini vsbn challenges :-) Our first challenge for the main vsbn is this Friday at 6 PM EST (don't forget the time difference if you're not Easter Standard Time)....so excited!!!!
I've had this on my calendar since it was announced and told DH and DGS that Friday Saturday and Sunday I'm scrapping! So of course we get a call from my SIL to invite us to our niece's birthday party Friday night....go figure! I'll have to check in after we get home which means I'll miss all the chatting but I can't wait to see what the challenges will be.
Terry, I'm in the mountain standard time zone so I won't even get home from work until the first challenge has started. I'll be starting late too, but I'm still anxious to see the challenges!

I have cleared out none scrapping stuff from my space and am ready to get started! HOPING and crossing my fingers that my boys cooperate for me!
Congrats on your second baby! I missed that...every now and then I had been checking in on the one thread that you were on along with Anavon but I haven't done much computer watching the last year! So sorry!

thanks! I hadnt been on in forever. he is a mess and total opposite from his brother!
I'm looking forward to this weekend. My hubby is away which means I will have access to the computer. I'm just going to have to break it to my 9yr old that he will not have the computer every waking moment this weekend. I'm thinking that he might have to go for a playdate on Sat.

Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.
Hubby is out of town all weekend and I have been working on getting the craft area in the nursery cleaned and organized... (Zane is due to arrive April 25th - nothing like waiting till the last minute, right?!) I'm hoping I get far enough tomorrow that I can justify taking a break to haul some stuff back out and do both challenges!

nothing like kids messing with your plans. ugh! We are scheduled for a tour of East Carolina Univ on Monday morning which means leaving Sunday because it is 9 hours away. Because I hate to drive that far for one college visit, I decided we would head to the beach for a couple of days too. It is only 2-3 hours from the college depending on which one we go to. So, I should be around tonight and part of tomorrow but lots to get done including shopping for a few things.
my ds1 commandeered my laptop to design a "spy bike" for a play he found out he's in today, so I'm going to have to get creative for later. The house computer is in the kitchen, but I was hoping to chill in a different room during VSBN with the laptop......

Hi folks, I in NZ, and am hoping I can join in, as it will be Saturday morning/afternoon for me. I have never joined in before, and am clueless as to how to play. Does the challenge run as virtual, as in I can watch as if I was in a demo for real? Cheers, and I hope this works, so I am rushing thru my housework to make sure I can relax.

Welcome Dianne - there will typically be a link posted here to a chat thread that will explain each individual challenge. There is a chat thread for EACH of the challenges. You can join in when you can or come back later and read the challenges and then complete them in the next week when you have the time. Deadline is Sun, 4/8 if I remember correctly. There isn't any formal demo during the virtual, but some like to chat and scrap at the same time while others hit their scrap table right away and get each challenge done in the 2 hr time frame. It's up to the individual. Come when you can!

Can you have laptop and ds have house computer?
You're a nice mom, my dds are 13 & 16 and no laptops for them...nor can they use mine. However, they have use of the MAC in the front room; that room has french doors, so private but I can still go check. We've had issues where they get on their handhelds when they're not suppose to so we took their devices off the house wifi...they can use the wifi out in public but they can only get online on the computer (with parental times/controls).
Its almost time, its almost time!!! WOO HOO! I even skipped my lunch break today so that I could leave early and be home in time! Yay!!! Going to go shower and get into my comfy jammies so I'm all ready to chill all night! Already warned my hubby ;)

I just wrote out the times for dh (he thought his game night would be interrupted...) but being the nice wife that I am...I will deal with the boys from 5-bedtime tomorrow if he will deal with them from 1-5...(our time of course).
Then I remembered that we have a minister trying out this SUnday and I told dh that I want to go both am and pm...unless of course the guy isn't good! haha...so I will miss out on the last two...at least parts of them...
maybe I should put the barricades up now while they are gone so they can't come in here...

Yay for Dianne!!! And I see that this was your first post...don't be shy and ask questions...hope you enjoy the challenges :-)

Our house computer is a mac and he's not as comfortable with it. He's working on a school project so I don't want to kill his enthusiasm. I'm sure he'll be done soon enough....I already told him when he started that he'd need to be off so I could use it. Glad to see another mom feels the same way about parental controls. I check his history on his ipod touch - bigger issue is that he wants to play games on his IPtouch... it's getting in the way of getting things done. Going to have to crack down on usage... trying to make him more responsible at the same time and I'm struggling with my frustration as things don't get done. natural consequences don't seem to bother him.... ugh

Here's a tip for all those that are new...be sure to 'Refresh' your web page frequently if you wish to participate in the conversation, this site is not like FB or Twitter when it comes to conversation.

That's what happened in our house and I struggled long enough...so no wifi and life has been infinitely more better!!! They still can access wifi out in public, just not at home and I LOVE it!
