Hello all! Welcome to February and for those in my neck of the woods be prepared for a dumping of snow coming overnight. It is rare that Southern Ontario gets a big storm, and I love the snow, so I am super excited it is on the way. But, while I wait let us get started on this weeks watercolour challenge. We are visiting with Emma Jane Lefebvre for some Valentine fun. Her video is here:

I thought I would add a color charts with some miscellaneous colors for hearts.

I had fun with this - I might have gone a little overboard but I wanted to try all the things! Here are my four cards:

Heart Hugs
Peaceful Stripes
Everything is Coming Up Roses

I just replaced my drawing with the hearts a little bigger hearts and replaced Rose Red with Ricco Rose which is a more recent color.

I will be doing a second chart in addition showing a strategy how to overcome the totally opaque (100% opacity) hearts. In Inkscape, totally opaque behave like die solid color die-cuts as you would see.

Since I use use graphic software (Inkscape), I do not have advantage of moist inks merging in overlaps of colors. I have to rely on transparent colors to show the merged color or add extra colors. I hope this answers some of your questions. My next chart should help maybe by Monday.

I made several watercolor panels after watching the YouTube this week! it was lots of fun and this card also worked for the Teapot Tuesday challenge for Anne's hubby, Jay's 80th birthday on Valentine's Day!
