And here I thought that ribbon was just supposed to sit on the shelf and be admired! You mean we're actually supposed to use it on cards? GASP...! Thanks, Julia.
Yippe skippy! I got one posted on the actual day of the challenge!!!
Here's a great little idea for ribbon that... of course.... I picked up here... lots of you guys use it...(I know Badsherry uses it alot)!!!
I just took a small piece of coordinating ribbon and layed it in the knot before I did the second part of the knot.... voila.... a second color without using much ribbon.
OK, so I didn't do anything earth-shattering with my ribbon--but I did pick the ribbon first and built the card around it, rather than choosing a ribbon to match my card. So--it was a challenge! ;) I really think it turned out cute...Thanks for the challenge!
I used the frayed ribbon technique--not one I usually use, but that's cause it is so hard to handle all those loose threads until I get them tied up again.
Here is another card. I am trying to use up the paper in my scrapbox AND do some missed challenges. No spelling errors this time (although my husband hasn't seen this card yet!).
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

I got another one done using an idea my friend Julee and I collaborated on. It's a mouse made from the petal in pick a petal. Please take a look and tell me what you think.
Oh I so want to play, but I'm off to San Diego today to visit DGD! I went on line last night to get some gold cord that someone mentioned was like the SU retired cord, and came away with $65 worth of ribbon!! How does that happen, DH asks?

Love the challenge. I was excited to use ribbon. Love ribbon. Then I made this paper, and I thought it was too fun by itself to add much ribbon. Struggled like crazy to figure out how to get circles exactly the size I wanted. I tried coulzzle, cm, and fiskars. I didn't get it exactly like I wanted, but I still think it's cute.
Here is the card I made:
TLC120 Paradise
I hope I figured out how to do the link with a name properly. TFL

I looooooove ribbon, Julia, so this was a great challenge, especially to make us think of different ways to use it.
I'm suppose to be working on the walls in my craft room, but I took a little break to make this card for my nephew's birthday. I'll be popping in and out to comment on everyone's cards.
