I made my buttons with my Big Shot and the buttons die cut. I tied mine with linen thread, but they're glued on the card.

This is a do over for the challenge since my friend said the last one looked SLOPPY (although that was intended in memory of my sloppy sewing room-wink)
On this one I used a little pen glue & flock to thread my needle, and a glitter pen to make the needle shine....then I clustered the buttons and staggered their size and color to bring them into the focal area.

My buttons are a bit hard to see. I put the brad prongs through the button holes; so the buttons are underneath.

Never did get a chance to try out the great idea I had for another Beautiful Buttons card this week (too much other stuff got in the way!). But I got to play with buttons some more today as part of today's Inspiration Challenge to make a card inspired by a book cover. So, here's my double-duty card:
