Well, I am combining this challenge with the CC 52 I challenge...My watercoloring still needs a lot of work...I have to remember not to pick up to much color and not to press down like I was coloring with real crayons! I have practiced with this particular stamp a lot of times already. I figure if I keep trying, maybe I will have it worked out before Easter arrives...LOL.
So, here is my attempt at this challenge...still pending at 1:40 pm eastern.
Julia, what do you mean you don't have the watercolor crayons yet??? They were the first thing I ordered out of the new catty. Spend the bucks, they are REALLY worth it.
Combined this with CC52h. I may actually get that CC done! I didn't like this at first, but it's growing on me (hee-hee) since sitting here on my desk~tfl
not what I wanted to do...as I wanted a 'cheer you up' card and it ended up kinda dreary to me
so, I'm off to try again.
Julia... you really do NEED wc crayons! ;) but I wish the SU ones had black and grey! My old set of wc crayons didn't have as many colors, but had the black and grey...you wouldn't believe how I miss them! (I gave them away ) I had to use grey ink

first one today.
This was fun, time consuming but fun. This stamp reminded me of my DD. Just need more practice with the crayons, or spend a little more time.
Take a look and let me know what you think.

Hey Julia... if you aren't convinced to get the wc crayons after these fantabulous cards today.... you're a few fries short of a happy meal... one brick shy of a load... your elevator doesn't go to the top floor... ... okay, okay.. but save your $$...it's well spent! ;)

Well, after reading what the challenge was this morning I knew I couldn't play along. Don't have watercolor crayons or pencils. So I spent some time learning the new SU website, cleaning (yuck!) and just general pickup. Couldn't stay away though and when I read the posts in this thread, I thought well I can play along with water, brush and stamp pads. So that is what I have done -- just couldn't be left out of a good challenge. So here it is, pending approval: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
You gals have turned out some marvelous work today!
I had a terribly hard time with this challenge tonight. This is my third card and only the first one that I am even willing to upload. UGH! There was not much creativity flowing tonight.
I love my watercolor pencils and haven't put up the money for the crayons although I'm tempted. I combined this with the pinwheel techniques challenge for the week and at least finished one challenge for this super busy week. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
okay... so I'm liking these challenge things. this is my second attempt at a challenge, and well, it's a challenge. I'm remedial when it comes to watercoloring, so the elk (I mean, deer) took me forever.
I got one done and I'm not at all happy with the scan of this pastel card. I tried everything to make the color true to life but nothing would work, should have tried the camera I guess.
By the way, I love my crayons!
No time to stamp this week...been crazy busy in Germany planning a huge bazaar for September...want to come
Anyway, here is a Christmas tag I did this past year with the WWC. I wanted it to look Victorian, and I think it does...I did the direct to stamp technique and spritzed with water...
I've been playing with watercoloring a lot lately, so here are some I recently put in my gallery. Two use the crayons and one uses the pencils. I'm totally hooked on watercoloring now!
Location: In my Happy Place with no one bothering me....I hope!

Here's mine with the watercolor crayons!! Also part of the color challenges this week! I'll try more if I can...... I need to use these more! Thanks for looking!
Thank you so much, ladies, for all of your friendly comments on my other submittal. I didn't have much stamping time this morning to throw this together, but wanted to submit something before another challenge has passed me by!
Well, These aren't new cards for me, but they are two that I have used my favorite watercolor technique on. I love colorling on the rubber and then spritzing and stamping. Enjoy! - Kathy
