It's Sabrina here as your hostess this week. We're right at the end of August, and while I know it's still not prime leaf-peeping season in the US, I was horrified to see the amount of leaves already falling to the ground here even a couple of weeks ago. So while they're still on the trees - let's use leaves. Of course you can simply use stamped images - but why not stretch yourself a little and try something new? I'm proposing three different techniques you could try:
I was interested to re-visit the stamping with leaves, because Judy recommended pigment inks and back then pretty much most of mine were distress. So I had a go with distress oxides and found they worked very well. I'll be along later with my burnt paper bag leaves.
Once you've finished your unbeleafably beautiful creation, upload it with the keyword WT703, and then come back and share a link here: that makes it easy for people to find your card. The challenge hostesses really appreciate it when you do - it helps us not to miss your cards.
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Thanks as always to my fellow teammates for coming up with wonderful inspiring creations as samples: Toni, Carla, Lisa and Cathy.
I have a full day in work today so I won't get a chance to come by the gallery till later on, but I am looking forward to seeing your beautiful leafy creations. The team certainly cave up with some gorgeous samples.
I finished this late last night, and could not take a picture of it till this morning. Imagine my surprise to see that today's challenge called for leaves!! Both Sketch Challenge and Ways to Use It Challenge - great challenges! I enjoyed both!!

For today's leaves challenge, I had fun using my markers for stamping and detailing for my leaves, along with some glossy paper die cut into leaf shapes. Here's dotted leaves

Playing catch-up challenges again this week. Sabrina said show leaves on your card and to try something different other than just stamped leaves. I have chosen to use die-cuts in a variety of leaf shapes and to emboss them with a woodgrained embossing folder and to apply a bit of gold glitter when finished. Here is my card: Thank You for the Delightful Gift!
