When I saw the title of the challenge, I got very excited. I thought you wanted ral sand. I have one in my gallery with real sand on it and have used sand in shaker cards.

I didn't think this would be so hard!! I started with some ribbon for color inspiration and after several failed attemps - the ribbon wasn't even included!

It is so funny because Sahara Sand was one of the first packages of paper I bought but when I got it, I hated the color -- or so I thought at first. The more I played with it, the more I liked it. Here are 3 from my gallery. I hope to play some this evening and add a new one :-)

OK - this is a color I NEVER use!! In fact, only had about 1/2 a sheet in my stash. Here is the card I made. My daughter just found out she passed her medical boards & I had to make her a HIP HIP HOORAY card!!

I, too, have hardly used this color. I ordered it as soon as it was available...and didn't know what to do with it. I do like it and was glad for your challenge!

What a great challenge, I rarely use this color. I love it, but sometimes I have a hard time matching it up. It is amazing how different it looks with different colors. Everyone's cards are great. Here is mine..
