One of my favorite all time books is "The Giving Tree" It is a story of a young boy who plays on the branches and climbs on a tree. Through the years, the boy brings his Sweetheart to the tree and even carves their initials on it. As the boy grows and has a family he comes to the tree less and less and the tree gets older too. When the boy finally comes back and is an elderly man, the tree explains that it has nothing left to give the boy since it's branches are old and won't support him, etc. The boy ( elderly man ) answers the tree by saying it is ok because he is too old to climb anyway and if it is ok, he would just like to sit awhile under the tree. I love the ending.

These images are different. I like them and they are perfect for the challenge and the book you chose. You really captured the feel of the story with your collage of images.

Awwww, this is gorgeous ---- everything you put together. I've read this book to the elementary school students where I work. The pearls, the stamp, the tree itself -- and the word "Merci." Your card is even better than the book itself (the little boy never did say thank you did he?)
