I made this for a 6x6 page swap with my scrapbook group. I made my own "bauble" with window sheets & crystal effects! I'm loving that technique!!! I made faux latches too which I really love on a page!
To make your own bauble:
Take a window sheet and stamp your image with stazon ink. In this case I stamped the "I" from the collage alphabet and the word "imagine" below it from EFP. Then I tried to punch it out with my square punch but that didn't work however, it did leave the corner marks so I knew exactly where to cut with my scissors once I made the bauble.
Take crystal effects starting from the center and working your way outward, fill your shape/image (in this case my square), with CE. Set it aside to dry. BE PATIENT! Go work on the rest of your page! teehee
Once it was dry I cut it into the square then I wanted to embellish it so I mixed some more CE with some creamy caramel reinker and flipped the bauble face down, took a paint brush with my CC/CE mixture and painted it to add some shadow the "I" and "imagine" and a little edging around the outside of the square edges. Then I matted it onto another square (same size) that I had already stamped with the canvas stamp and chocolate chip ink, mounted it again onto chocolate chip!
I love faux embellishments so I especially LOVE the DDG theme this month! Can't wait to try some of the ideas I hadn't even thought of yet! LOVE THIS SITE and all you creative people who share so openly!!!
