I decided to make sets of monogram cards for Christmas gifts using designer papers. When I started looking thru my stash I realized I still had the 6 x 6 sampler pack from a year or so ago and decided that was the way to go. I was able to make 8 cards from 1 color and each card has a different print on it. Then my plan was to buy the plastic boxes to package the sets in. I'm kind of a *I need it now* person and was thinking how I could package as soon as I finish a set without waiting for an order of boxes to arrive. Then it hit me, at one time I made boxes out of card stock, so why wouldn't transparencies (acetate) work?? (especially since I have tons of it, thanks Waterpixie). And it worked great!!!! I so impressed with myself LOL. They were really pretty easy once I figured out the best dimensions. For the bottom of the box I cut the acetate 7 3/4 x 6 1/2 and scored all the way around at 1 inch. For the lid - 7 13/16 x 6 9/16 and score all the way around at 1 inch. At the corners snip once for each corner to fold in and fasten down with sticky strip. I hope this is clear as mud.
