| 1. Stamped Always bird at least 6 times and threw them away. I could not get a good solid image and I wanted it to "sit" on a branch.
2. Unmounted, cut off legs, and remounted. LOL No matter how I tried to mask off the legs it didn't work out. Throw away a few more images.
3. Changed to VersaMagic Chalk Ink. First in Aegean Blue then Spanish Olive on edges. Image now OK, so I embossed it.
4. Stamp and emboss Toile Blossoms branches, again first in Aegean Blue then Spanish Olive on edges.
5. Tried to make a permanent mask with overhead film using CuttleBug and Nestibilites. It didn't cut through. Cut mask with Colluzzle.
6. Using mask, sponged sun over bird. "Oops, look at that, yellow flowers on my bird." Decided I like it.
7. Masked with Post-it-notes and sponged on ground.
8. Using circle mask, brayered sky. Hmm. "What's with that halo around the sun?" Looked at this and said "this is trash, I'm going to bed!"
9. Dreamt of this layout as a way to salvage this image. Cropped, sliced, and mounted and finished. Wasn't that fun? It's a good thing I'm retired! |
