I bought this ribbon on sale at Michael’s and wanted to think of a way to use it. To make the stamping on this card easier. I cut two extra wood blocks (I’m handy with my jigsaw and I just use scrap pine boards) so I could divide these two stamp images into four separate stamps. To do this I carefully cut away the cluster of poinsettia berries on the rubber image so that I could mount the poinsettia flower petals separate from the berries. I also separately mounted “Christ is born” from the bible verse.
The ribbon has some gold metallic threads in it so I decided to gold emboss the berries in center of the poinsettia to repeat the gold theme. The ribbon best matched some Close To My Heart ink and paper I had. The color is called Vineyard Berry.
I always intend to keep my Christmas cards simple but can never resist layering them and embellishing them in some way. I cut the poinsettia flowers out separately and added veins to the petals with my marker. I made a similar card with the same color ribbon attached over the message here: Burgundy Christ Is born by bergstamper at Splitcoaststampers
This is another Nan original! Enjoy!
