if i'd done punches, the gaps would have been awkward because the lines wouldn't match (I'm anal about that! LOL!) I used publisher to make squares...they are about 3/4" each with 1/8" between. The piece of white c/s is about 3" square (give or take).
Okay we are doing this on the computer but how????? I got the measurements, but I'm new at this, and would love to do one in a workshop......Are you using carpenter's thin tape after you've printed out the window??? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I just love this and want to know how to do it!! Great job..
I suppose I could have used really thin tape but that didn't occur to me! LOL! I cut some 1/8" strips of paper. First, I cut an outer frame so I could just see the squares. Then, I taped the strips where the lines are to mask it off. I stamped the flower. I pulled off the masking and used the aqua painter to color the flower and the greenery.
The 3-D effect came when I took my aqua painter and a tissue...I dried the tip of the pen and dipped it into the turqoise. I drew the line on the outer edge of the square, added water to dilute the color, and worked my way in.
If you email me [email protected] I can email you the template I used. Like I said, it is a publisher file.
