This card is for my dearest friend Linda who lives in the artic north - aka KY. She was without power for a week after the ice storm a few weeks ago and has been dying to get warm. Her birthday is coming up and since she can't come to the beach - i thought i'd send the beach to her.
And don't tell Linda - but I threw in some sand from the beach so when she opens it, she'll have all that the beach offers including scratchy grittiness. Who needs enemies when you have loving friends like me! haha!
Again I was inspired by Roxie's sketch challenges. She knows how to kick start a lazy stamper.
I popped up 1 of the shells on the main panel to give it more dimension and then cut out the two small shells on the bottom and layered them on top of each other.
i don't know if you can see it or not, but the long shell is stamped in versamark on the brocade blue panel to give it some interest.
I LOVE this colour scheme. anything with chocolate is right up my alley!
Enjoy!
