I took basic white cardstock, inked w/Distress ink in Vintage Photo and Tea Dye. I got the map off the internet and tore it and inked it and I used Mod Podge to glue it down and then used the MP over top~just a thin coat inside and outside of the cover..made it feel like old leather. Book is put together w/an accordian-fold to hold the pages in place. Pages are glued w/Mono-Adhesive and then I used a regular hole punch and ran ribbon through the holes to make it more secure. (Cardstock was crinkled before using the distress ink.) The inside pages are regular brown paper sacks, with the bottom cut off and holes punched for the ribbon and then glued into the binding..Bags are great pockets for all ephemera..airline tickets, napkins from restaurants etc.!

This is AWESOME!!!! Maps are a great background or foreground in your case. What a special way to personalize a journal or gift. I used an old atlas I found and cut it up a bit for making some Texas cards. Maps are fun!
