Here is a layout I did yesterday - photos are from Easter 2004! This is probably one occasion where it's OK to use flowers on a boy layout! I've blurred the faces of the other kids in the photos for privacy reasons...it's not just bad photography!
The journalling on page (a) reads:
Remember when...
it was OK for boys to play with girls and Aidan and ..... were best friends.
Miss Linda's paper Easter baskets were the best thing.
the magic of THE BUNNY enthralled.
The journalling on page (b) reads:
"You were a little apprehensive about this thing called "an Easter Egg Hunt". You definitely didn't grasp the concept of grabbing as many eggs as you could. You would pick one from a bunch & then walk away to the next cluster. ~ April 2004 (age 3)"
This layout uses the "2 Sweet" Simply Scrapping kit. The colours in the kit seem very "girly", but I thought they would work well for an easter-themed page. The black & white photographs of all the kids in their different coloured clothes then don't clash with the colour scheme. I love the funky journalling boxes that come with this kit.
I used Kiwi Kiss Classic ink to sponge the letters of the word "FRIENDS" as they are white in the kit & I wanted them to stand out more on the page. I also used an Old Olive marker to add some "faux stitching" around the letters and the green numbers.
thanks for looking & happy egg hunting!
