I have long admired Joan's beautiful cards- her sense of color is outstanding and I love the layouts she uses! I saw this card: CC210 Birthday Wishes by joan ervin at Splitcoaststampers
I decided to use a piece of a project i just started using fabric and a new TJ technique called Fabrilayers. I got out the sewing machine and did the pin stitch to sew the 2 layers of nesties together, then used a block collage tech for the BG- I am terrible at collages, so was OK with the results- had to add a flowers as an accent. Hope you like it and Congrats Joan! I hope to get a chance to make more- I have many of your cards bookmarked for 'later'.....!

Such a beautifully cased card. Love the asian feel with that red and white dp. The way you set your image on the top note just takes this card to a whole new level. Beautiful.
