This is for the current challenge on the Flourishes blog, to make a square card. Now, the last 4 cards I've made for Flourishes challenges have all been square anyway, but new challenge - new card. It was good to try out this stamp. It's always reminded me of a picture in an illustrated Hans Christian Andersen book I had as a child. I can't remember many of the pictures - the dancing princesses is one, and a picture from What the Moon Saw, of a young boy on the throne in a palace in France. So, although I didn't manage to fit any fleur-de-lys onto this, I've given it a regal look with gold and red. It's also for the CCEE challenge to use special papers. The red may not look special, but it has the most gorgeous texture and I've been hoarding it for (ummm, two house moves - at least 7 years!!). The other paper for the chair is also one I've been hoarding, but not quite so long. Both it and the Labels 1 frame are papers from the Clairefontaine Papers of the World.
I cut the frame, and cut masks to use for stamping the background. The inside is Tattered Straw, the outside is Fired Brick. After stamping the backgrounds I stuck on the frame and chair. (Oh yes - the red is embossed with Swiss Dots), and added a little shadow under the chair. I added some little black rhinestones, and Primas. Even with the flowers, I think I will probably send this to my BIL for his birthday.

Gorgeous card Sabrina. Missed this one, you know I almost made one with this chair and for the same week, chickened out. But I can see, you didn't, this is gorgeous now. Good for you for using that beautiful paper and the flower is a very pretty embellie! Great work. Awesome piecing on the chair. TFS
