Well, the technique challenge took a bit longer than I anticipated today. My husband's idea didn't work, so I came up with one instead.
The Technique Challenge today was to use Fun Foam and create your own stamp. I didn't have any, so I had some left over rubber from stamps. I took a back of a wood block and put the rubber pieces on it. When I trimmed the rubber, I sliced my finger using my kraft knife too. My poor finger was bleeding forever. Anyways, I have these yo yo flowers out of fabric in a bag so I thought it would be a great idea to use them as a stamp. It worked. I tried it a few times to get the look I was after. I used 2 separate yo yo's to stamp with 2 different inks onto white c/s. It turns out, I had to use a little bit of rock and roll with the block to get the look. I used the stem from watercolor gardens stamp set and adjusted it because I didn't want the stem to be so curvy. I made it more straighter. I also stamped the leaves from paint prints. I added ribbon, buttons, and distressed the edges with my scissors. I stamped the sentiment using my Stamp-a-jig. I hope this meets the challenge Lynn as that I had fun creating it. Have a great day!
I took the photo with the fabric yo yo's to show you what I was talking about.
The color of the c/s shows the pink, its really purple...please excuse the lighting.
Please don't send the technique police because I didn't use a die cut machine.
Thanks!
Bonnie

Wow - this is impressive! You were extremely creative with this challenge. I really like how the card turned out and it has an interesting little history with it too - injury, trial and error, overcoming adversity, rock and roll (sounds like the fodder for a novel) - and you even involved your DH! You are so creative Bonnie - I love looking at your cards and learning new things!

_onnie, you always come through no matter what happens! cutting your finger must have been slightly painful wouldnt you say? But despite the horrific pain, you just kept going. What a trouper you are and what a fabulously creative card this is and how it came to be. You be da woman, _onnie, do doubt about it.
