My friend, (who was my demo, now I am a demo, too) told us about these and how to make them last year. I am not sure where she got the idea, I would guess on here or another stamping website. So I am not sure who to thank for the awesome idea. So, Thanks for the idea. I made a bunch of these this past Christmas. My mom loved them and she's been asking for more. So, here they are.
You can't see in the picture, but the edges of the triominoes have been colored w/a silver leafing Krylon pen.

I generally don't like stamped jewelry...but this is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to try this myself. Can you tell me where you purchased the "triominoes". Also did you say you used the pastel chalks to do this? How did you adhere the triominoe to the silver bead? I would LOVE to have more details on this craft if you don't mind! Thanks so much!
1. Use a tissue or sponge to apply a thin coat of Lumiere to the blank side of the tri ominos. (A little goes a long way.) I usually let them dry overnight.
2. Stamp your image on using stazon. Let dry.
3. Using a blender pen, color in your image. On a side note I have found that using chalks a lot w/blender pens ~ can really dry them out. But that may be just me. I let them sit for just a little while.
4. Apply a thin coat of Krylon clear spray matte finish. (Follow manufactures directions for use.) Let dry.
5. Once it is dry ~ color the sides w/a krylon leafing pen. Let dry.
6. Use E6000 glue to adhere a larger longer narrow bead to the top of the tri-omino. Let dry. (Sorry I can't remember exactly where I get the beads, but I would guess it was someone like Walmart, JoAnns, Michaels or Hobby Lobby.)
7. I used white cording from JoAnns or use what you would like. I finished w/beads I found at JoAnns as well.
Thanks to my friend, Sara for getting me started on the tri-omino necklaces.
Thank you SO much for including the instructions! I have a couple additional questions, if you don't mind...
1) What is "Lumiere"? Does it give the background that pretty, glissening (SP?), dimensional look? Or did you do something more to the background.
2)How did you finish off the ends of the necklace?
Thank you again...you are amazing!!! I am just SO excited to try this!!!

MommaJ here are the answers to your questions!
1) What is "Lumiere"? I got my Lumiere from Stampin' Up, but I am sure it is available other places. Stampin' Up has the pearl white (Lumiere is the brandname.) It is a moderately thick VERY sparkly...quick drying...acrylic paint. Yes, that is what I used for the background. I just dabbed a little on w/a kleenex. Lumiere has lots of other uses, too. Here is a link to the forums w/more info on Lumiere. Forums at Splitcoaststampers
2)How did you finish off the ends of the necklace? I just tied the ends together. But there may be other ways to finish the ends.
