This was so challenging. I kept thinking I could make this paper bow and then stick a button in the middle to hide the mess....oh wait, buttons are embellishments! No buttons, no brads, no eyelets, no ribbons, nothing! Yikes!!
Lucky for me, I have this CTMH set called Ritzy Ribbon. It lets you stamp all different kinds of ribbon. I never used this set until today and now I'm so thankful for it!! Everything on this card is made from only paper and ink. No embossing powder, nothing but good old stamps, ink, paper, scissors, and of course Nesties!
To make the bow, I stamped 3 long strips of ribbon. I cut them out and then stamped the backside of two of them so the white would not show when I made the loops. I cut the long piece to go across the entire card. Then I cut two tails the same size and notched the ends and cut two bow loops. Last, I cut and rolled a piece to go in the center. I was planning to stick a leaf there but it just didn't look right. The entire thing is held together with glue dots.
The leaves and colored using the Rock-and-Roll technique. It's a fun way to get two-toned solid images, and it's also easy!

Total perfection!! What a clever girl you are to make your own cardstock ribbon (I was wondering if someone would take a stab at that!)! Great layout, too!
