If you are wondering about this strange card you need to check out Mothermark's teapot challenge. http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2009/...-my-story.html
For those in the challenge I need to tell you that really Blackhawk is an old mining town that is now a gambling spot here in the Colorado mountains with many old houses. Blanca has always been tempted to try her luck and when she saw a slot machine with the winning combination being black sevens she knew she had to try. She hit it big! That is how she could afford all the bright paint, not only for her house but the neighbors as well! With the trace of snow the houses looked so beautiful her husband, Blacken even brought home an extra orange pumpkin.
Welcome back Cindy and thank you so much for filling in the blanks MariLynn.

Too cute! Love your houses with their touch of snow. Now I don`t feel quite as bad that my card had snow as well. Leave it to the woman of the house to win the money. Yahoo! Did she buy any stamping supplies? TFS!

OMG! Marilynn....shh! I was trying to keep it a secret about the gambling thing in Black Hawk. You know, we need the decorators doing their job, earning their tea and I fear once they hear about the gambling, take off and start slackin' Blacken's SIL, Fran may sue us......
Oh well, that could be fun! Lets go hit some 7's girlfriend, surely Blanca saved some for us! Whoot!
Your card is a riot! And the neighborhood is doing flips over this newly remodeled side of the street....who'd a thunk gamling winnings would be spend on paint!
Pssst.....Thanks for making my time away special with the happy mail! Hugs. 8 to 14 inches of snow tonight, ya think? Yikes!

Oh wow, Blanca certainly went to town with her winnings. What a devious plan to share the paint around, so that her own house doesn't stand out so much. It reminds me of a little town on the coast in the southwest where they pride themselves on the lovely colourful houses. Not that they'd ever see snow - too near the Gulf Stream!

Way to go Blanca!! Now just what can Blacken possibly say, when the whole neighborhood has been colorized? I'm thinking, not much, so best just hush and enjoy it. LOL!! Great card, such fun colors.
