I originally made this snowman card about 3-4 years ago when my sister, Connie Jo9 got me started stamping. I was new at this as you can see, this card is HUGE! It only had the one snowman, let it snows! and some sticker snowflakes. Today I decided to dig it out and up-date it so to speak.......details......
When I first started stamping I knew nothing about the coloring. No re-inker knowledge or prisma pencils, or copic markers, get the picture. I thought the only way to color was leave the image blank but use a colored pad for the outline. How boring. So since I had a ton of acrylic paints, I used them to color this snowman.
My sister walked me through the masking part so the snowman didn't have loops in his belly and neck.. I added the silver snowflakes stickers mainly because I didn't even know about eb powders or that they came in colors. Such a newbie.
Today I added some more snowman only the sticker kind. After all that is what the challenge is, to use stickers. I lightly drew in the hills, then shaded with acrylic paints. Stamped some trees in green, stamped itty bitty bg for snow using versa mark and white ep. Then sponged the faded jeans all around.
Now for the snow, this is the cool part. Miss Peggy aka marilynprestonn had listed this link to instructions on how to make your own flower soft, which BTW is so much cheaper, and it's easy too! Check it out. Just scroll down a little and you'll find it.
Sorry to rattle on. So here is my card for today. Hope you like my up-dated card that I forgot to send to my sister.......TFL :0)
