I was inspired by the accordian books for the odd fold of this card. The white portion on the front of the card folds out to reveal the message. I don't know what inspired me to turn the leaf into a Christmas tree...

Beautiful card and idea! Any chance you could post a pattern of what to fold where when or PM me? I'd like to try this, but it would take a while to figure it out. TYFS

Ok, for the folded part, you need to start with a perfect square. Mine is 5 3/4" First you will fold it in half to make a rectangle, then unfold it. Fold it in half again the other way then unfold so that you have creases to form 4 little squares. Make sure the folds are both going in the same way. Then make one last fold, this time folding backwards, and fold so it's a triangle. So (and it is so much easier to show than to explain, so I apologize...) you should have the squared creases folding in towards you and the triangled crease folding away from you. If it's opposite, just flip it over. You will take your fingers and push the triangled creases in towards each other, and the squared creases should fold right into a square half the size.... Play with it a while and pretty soon you'll get the hang of it. The trick really is making sure the creases are folded in opposite direction. Look at the image of the card opened and you'll see what I mean about the creases. I hope I didn't confuse you any more.
