Okay, who remembers the SU stamp set Ornate Floral Alphabet? I can't believe there's not an upload category for that one. I think it was released in 1993.
Anyway, I stamped it on some scrap paper, scanned it into my computer on a high resolution, then resized the image and flipped it so it was a reverse image. (Not so important on an M, but I've done other letters, too.)
On the back (silver side) of some black metal sheets from Ten Seconds Studio, I traced the image with a stylus (I put some foam underneath the metal). Then I painstakingly refined every line on both sides. Ten Seconds Studio has a great video about this: http://tensecondsstudio.com/videos/102709.html
I sanded the black off the raised parts of the image and the middle of the letter. Finally, I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic Markers, which also takes the black off the metal while it puts down color.

WOWZER!!! Incredible. I don't remember these letters from SU but I do have the whole alphabet of similar letters from the PSX set from years ago. This is just beautiful and I am going to try it. Thanks for the link to the video!! Please check out the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge by clicking on the link below my signature. We would be so honored to have one of your lovely creations in our weekly challenge.
