I kind of like the idea of denim and lace together. I wanted to make the cup look like one of those blue enamel ones that cowboys and cowgirls are known to use (and campers, too), so I used a white Signo pen to add white dots. The red paisly DP looks like a bandana to me. I used a 1/16" punch to punch holes in the scallops of the circle to make it look lacy, and used simple scallop scissors to cut a scallop edge for the bandana. The steam is made with white liquid applique.
The layout was inspired by some here on SCS.
