For the background I first used the technique, "drunken chalks." (then sprayed a fixitive!) I just heat set it and printed a definition sheet that I made for the word, "Connoisseur" and other similar words by pasting them into a word document and then playing with the fonts of different definitions. This was a lot of fun and when you are looking for that "perfect background" I can see how word-smithing your own can come in handy.
