You can't tell in the scan unfortunately, but the "marbled" background is kind of shimmery. I took a piece of Vanilla and scribbled over it randomly with the Pumpkin Pie and Bravo Burgundy Watercolor Crayons. Then, I misted the paper with water so the crayons would begin to run. I then took an AquaPainter filled with Future Floor Wax and dipped it into the PearlEx and blended it into the crayons. It really does look a lot like marble in real life. I got the basic idea for using the PearlEx with the crayons from the new tutorial today, but added my own tweaks. Did I invent a new technique?
