I had fun making this card.. It did take me a very long time, as I made 4 backgrounds prior to getting the one I did firstÂ… Do you ever have that happen??? Anyway.. I have some nice backgrounds now for some other cards.
This card was created for two challenges that have sort of merged this weekÂ…Mother Marks Tea Pot Tuesday 91 and Color challenge 268
Betty gave us three pretty colors; Old Olive, Bashful Banana and Ballet Blue with a red embellishment for dessert. This background was done with resist and a Ranger reinker; cool peri was the closest to Blue Ballet. Then I used a couple of spellbinders to give a nice background for the daisiesÂ… which is all painted with twinkling H20Â’sÂ… I had a daisy wedding and our 41st anniversary is coming up in June, so maybe I will give this to my sweetieÂ… maybe I will make him another oneÂ… ?? I used the Bashful Banana in ribbon for the third colorÂ… and added a tiny little red button at the end of the saying.. Which brings me to the other ChallengeÂ…
My story goes like thisÂ…
Since Sadie had no clue as to what happened to her daisies, I thought it only fitting to try and make her realize WHO was the culpritÂ… Sir Pluckapetal is certainly a main character in this storyÂ… so after 42,000 daisies had been plucked you would think that Sadie would have some kind of clueÂ… but Sadie is off in some other world trying to figure this whole thing outÂ… duh??? SADIE Â… wake up before you canÂ’t smell the flowersÂ… Anyway.. maybe she will try and realize that she has to find love in strange waysÂ… and it is not only with flowers.. but what is at the edge of the petalÂ… (that is the saying on my cardÂ… !!!!)
Sadie finally realizes that after all 42,000 daisies are BALD that she really does think something is wrong Â… and starts to ask Sir Pluckapetal to come over for teaÂ… and then sits down and realizes that how can ask someone over who she hardly knowsÂ… anywayÂ… the story leaves Sadie sitting and pondering this whole huge messÂ… maybe she will wake upÂ… who knowsÂ…
I am bringing with me lots of teasÂ… in fact a nice Old Olive tea.. (green teaÂ…) and some pretty cupcakes with daisies on themÂ… so deliciousÂ… hope you will come and have someÂ… I have made lots and lots for all to enjoyÂ… bring some daisies tooÂ…
Hope that you enjoy the day.. and that you can get out and smell some 42,000 flowers yourself.. Thanks for taking a look and have funÂ…
Love, Light and PeaceÂ…. Bonnie
