I had a hard time finding the right mix. I used birds instead of a flower, added dp, and faux stitching. I tried to use a flower, ran into cutting and coloring problems. So, I had this bright idea of using the bird punch. I didn't make it outside the box like Bridget did as I just couldn't make it work.
I used the beautiful dsp from SU called Springtime Vintage, added a seam ribbon and brad. I embossed the birds and punched wings with dsp. Wouldn't you like to see a bird with decorative wings???? The birds were popped up on dimensionals as well as their wings. For some reason, I wanted them to fly in different directions. Don't have a clue why I did this. Used the b/g stamp Pretty Pattern for the b/g behind the birds.
Thanks for taking a look and have a great week.

Ooh, Pam...love the birds with the decorative wings. But, I think you are following me around this morning. YKWIM... Love that patterned paper and the beautiful seam binding/brad. Just a delicious card! I think that is you and Mom going in different directions..that was in the back of your mind and you just automatically did that. Oh, the power of suggestion. LOL Bridget is going to love this one, for sure.

Do you get tired of me telling you that each of your cards is beautiful?? Well, it just can't be helped you know! I love each of your cards for all the thought and detail you put into the design. Your birds are adorable - and the paper lovely, topped by the pretty ribbon, brad and sentiment. Is your scalloped circle a nestie? Your faux stitching doesn't look faux! Beautiful!!

Pam, your card is drop dead gorgeous!!!! I just got this dp, my Mom sent me some from America, and it's incredibly pretty - now I see that the dp is not complete without the red rose seam binding - wow, I just love it. I like how you made the birds wings, each one carefully punched with a lovely flower on the dp - love that pretty brad too. Thanks for making a card, Pam, it means a lot to me!

Darling card. Just debating whether to get this punch or not... The DP for wings is fabulous as is the colour combo.
